Hamfests are events organized by amateur radio enthusiasts for social gathering and promotion of amateur radio hobby. Typically semi-annual events are held on weekends which last from several hours to several days which feature buying and selling of radio and related equipment. For HAMs in India, Hamfest India hosted in different parts of the country, studded with technical lectures on latest topics like satellite communication, software design radio, antennas, etc. It also includes live demonstrations of HAM Radio Operation, workshops on different topics and stalls offering wireless communication equipment.
